Services to Senior Friends
- The current SCM provides networking opportunities every year in the city the National Conference is being hosted.
- All Senior Friends receive an annual letter highlighting key achievements and news from the movement and Federation.
- You can access our Senior Friends database to reconnect with friends - just email the Senior Friends Coordinator to start the process.
- This website has a "Where are they now" page where you can share some brief information about yourself and invite people to contact you.
If there are other services that this website could provide, then please get in touch with the
webmasters.
The Senior Friends Database
SCM maintains a database of contact details for Senior Friends to allow us send out newsletters and event information. We also keep record of where and when you were a Senior Friend, and any special events you were a part of.
To create or update your record with us, please use our online form.
All Senior Friends information is kept confidential to the Senior Friends Coordinator and the National Coordinating Group. We do not give out information without permission.
Services to the movement
Senior Friends are actively contributing in many ways:
- direct assistance with special projects such as this website, the maintainance of the Senior Friends database, history projects;
- supporting and speaking at meetings of the local groups;
- making regular and one-off donations to the SCMA Trust (which provides the long-term stable income for the movement's administration), and donations to the Nesta Salmond Fund (which funds special movement building projects)
- remembering SCMA with bequests in their wills;
- coming to events and sharing wisdom and stories;
- sending children, grandchildren and other students to SCM meetings and this website.
