There are many ways to get to The Hut. Uh, we mean The Cabin.

Already at the Kelburn campus?

: Already at VUW? Top two: to the left is the Student Union Building. Go down the footpath with the grey sign to the right. Middle: the footpath (the library is on the right of the picture). Bottom and far bottom: When you see the crimson sign, take the walkway to the left (not the stairs). The cabin is the first building to your left.

If you're already at Victoria University (Kelburn campus), go to the side of the Library (Rankine Brown) facing the city, and walk along to the walkway for the Counselling Service -- this will be marked 2 Wai-te-ata Road. If you take the walkway on your left (not the staircase down to Student Health at 4WTA), you'll see The Hut to your left.

Coming in from off-campus

: Gate 3

Otherwise, if you're arriving from Kelburn Parade, enter by foot via Gates 3 or 5 on Kelburn Parade. Alternatively, if you're coming from The Terrace, you could use the Mount Street walkway that runs between the Student Union Building (SUB) and the Mount Street Cemetary. At the top the National Bank at the SUB is to your right -- turn left, and Counselling's walkway described above will be on your left.

If you're a visual creature like Nikster, here's three maps. Click any of them to enlarge the bigger map to see a bright red triangle under the Library, which is where we are. (Or, if you're like me, we have some photographic directions to the cabin.)

ZoomIn, Google Maps, Google Earth, et al

Prefer an interactive map website? Maybe you have your own mapping software? Which map website to use? We found at least six of them. Here are links to some of them to the cabin.

ZoomIn: see the location on a street map.
Google Maps: see all major SCMA offices (that we know of) or just the SCM cabin.
Google Earth (database): download a KMZ file for all major SCMA offices (that we know of) or just the SCM cabin, to use in the program.
Wises: see the location on a street map, or example driving directions from Helen Lowry Hall.
Multimap: see the location on a street map at Yellow Pages, or at Multimap.com.

Disclaimer: for the avoidance of doubt, we (that is, SCM Victoria and our SCM cabin) aren’t associated with VUW Counselling Service and VUW Student Health – the cabin is a separate building that just happens to live next door to both (even if it does share the same street address as Counselling’s building, it’s still a separate building…).
